Me gusta Buenos Aires

Continue Reading →

Continue Reading →

Life in pictures

Almost three years ago I quit my job as sales/job recruiter and I went to Ibiza... after the season I traveled around, but in summer I always went back to the magical island. And still I do, in four weeks I will be back. Quitting my job and following my heart was the best decision I've ever made. I feel so free and happy. Of course it's sometimes hard not having a steady income or not knowing where you will be in six months... but that's a little thing. If you believe in your dreams, it will always be good. Believe me. What's your dream? I b i z a My most favorite island. One month and I will be back... • What's your favorite island? I b i z a • The island I fell in love with... A few more weeks working in Switzerland and I go again for the summer. I can't wait! It's the place I feel at home. Like when I'm traveling... C h i l e • I fell in love with this country when I went there unplanned last September. I love dry places and here I went to the most driest desert in the world. I loved it.
S P R I N G • is in the air! Uuuhh. What? I'm still surrounded by snow.... a lot of snow. The season is quite extreme this year, but that seems one of the facts that the climate change is doing her job. Extreme winters, extreme summers. So let's have a walk in snow today! How did your spring started? ☘Sunday... a day when a lot of people go to church. But have you ever heard about this most beautiful church I've ever seen? Build in a canyon in the South of Colombia? • "The inspiration for this beautiful creation was a miraculous moment in 1754, when the Amerindian Maria Meneses de Quiñones and her deaf-mute daughter Rosa were caught in a very strong storm. The two sought refuge between the gigantic Lajas, when, to Mueces's surprise, her daughter Rosa exclaimed "the Mestiza is calling me" and pointed to the lightning illuminated silhouette over the laja. This apparition of the Virgin Mary instigated popular pilgrimage to the site and occasional reports of cases of miraculous healing. The image on the stone is still visible today..." • Really. This place was beautiful. I visited the place after crossing the border with Ecuador and when you are there, go to this place. It's worth it. In Ipiales there's nothing to do, so I took in the eve directly a nightbus to Cali (not recommended by the Dutch Government I saw later, but everything went well). The Oasis of America... This place was just so beautiful. I went there for sandboarding in the dunes last November, but the view by sunset was one I will never forget. •°M a c h u • P i c c h u °• ⛰ Can you imagine that years ago around 150 families of the Incas were living at this amazing place? It felt so peaceful, it was so beautiful...
G o o d m o r n i n g What's the plan for today? If I could, I want to get lost with these flamingos in Bolivia... flying away to the sun. But in fact I'm surrounded by snow and have to work the whole day... one month and I will fly to paradise again... P a l m t r e e s • And you really can't miss them here! When I was in Salento, Colombia (a really colourful place), I went to the Cocora Valley. It was my plan to stroll around for an hour or something, but in the end I hiked around six hours. Of cours I wasn't prepared in my dress and at my boots, but who cares? It was beautiful! I met another girl who was alone and we talked for hours.. that's one of the nice things as solotraveler... you meet so easily new people. A wonderful experience at one of the most beautiful places I saw in Colombia... Sometimes you have to walk against the wind -in life and in real- but if you do, life will give you the most beautiful presents. Like the Rainbow Mountain in Peru. I had to walk up to over 5000m (it was possible to go some meters by horse, but I wanted to do myself) but the view was amazing... Rain, wind, snow and also sun... this heavy hike gave me wonderful memories... W i n t e r When you make a "winter wonder walk" and you spot this beautiful chamois... it made me really happy last week. I love to see wild animals, but with temperatures under 0° and surrounded by snow it's getting more difficult...
